Salesforce centered back-office automation: the Tools, Data and Processes

Who We Are

Rapid growth often results in inefficient processes causing bottlenecks to emerge.

Has your business’ growth created back-office headaches?

While most of your focus as a high-growth business is increasing sales and growing revenue, areas like the efficiency of your finance and operations teams can ofter be an afterthought.

We think there is a significant amount being left on the table, by most companies that have had some early success and are experiencing significant growth. In many cases, these companies have entered a phase where they are performing many functions in a very manual manner and are beginning to experience the headaches and bottlenecks that these manual processes create as their volume increase.

If these processes are left unattended, they can begin to impact the health and growth of these high-performing companies in several ways, such as having to add headcount at a furious pace, creating a negative impact on the customer experience, as well as preventing leaders from being able to get timely and accurate information to be able to make data-driven decisions in how to steer the company.

So how do growth companies maintain focus on growth while at the same time fortifying their foundation?

Meet the Founders

Stephen Tangerman

Co-Founder

“There’s no question that technology is always delivering new opportunities for businesses to streamline and become better at what they do, and to do it more efficiently.

Technology though, is usually the easy bit…

It takes real feet on the ground, to figure out what actually makes sense, and how to translate this into real outcomes that not just make sense from a practical level, but also address the surrounding cultural and process issues that need to adapt and be supported along the way. Most consultants miss this point!

I’ve focused on the “back-office” and specifically for small businesses that are either on the cusp or in the middle of rapid growth because there are real challenges and nuances that make designing and implementing solutions in this sector problematic for anyone venturing in with just a surface level understanding. I bring you real experience solving these same issues for some of the largest enterprises in the world on a massive scale, a strong technology focus and a level headed understanding of the business drivers that will lead to real and measurable outcomes”

Stephen Tangerman is an accomplished business and technology strategist, with over 18 years of expertise architecting, developing, implementing, and supporting business critical IT systems for some of the world’s largest enterprises across several industries. A large portion of this experience has been primarily focused on working with business stakeholders to asses their current operations and goals and finding practical applications of technology to produce clear and measurable savings while minimizing technical debt. He has experience directing large-scale transformational initiatives and ensuring executive alignment with vision and desired outcomes.

Abby Tangerman, CPA

Co-Founder

“Communication across an organization is key to what ultimately becomes financial health.  Having well designed processes and a central place to capture that communication from all functions within the business will ensure and enforce that desired level of transparency and consistency, which in turn allows more visibility into that data.

The devil really is in the details, and without a strong foundation of data to build upon, it is challenging to sustain or even grow a business.

Reporting on that comprehensive and consistent data becomes information, and information is knowledge and power.  You are then armed with knowledge at the click of a button, in the driver’s seat, and can move your business forward in a more strategic versus reactive manner.

One of my roles at REV4 is to work with clients to transform and streamline financial and operational processes to maximize their investment in software and to scale those processes with growth.”

Abby Tangerman is a Certified Public Accountant by trade, who understands not only the accounting and financial operations side of business, but also the importance and impact that all other functions of a business have on achieving the desired outcome of financial health.  Through her years of experience first in public accounting with Ernst & Young, and then into the private sector leading sizable Finance teams, Abby gained the importance insight into what really makes a business successful, and that is when all functions across an organization have an effective means by which to communicate from the same data set, which in turn informs strategic versus reactive or mis-informed actions.

Her professional hands on and leadership experience in designing and implementing financial operations, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, accounts receivable / accounts payable, treasury and cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting, and financial compliance uniquely position her to not only translate, but also anticipate, the financial and operational needs of business owners into use cases, enabling REV4 to offer a more relevant and efficient experience for each customer.
